Slipcases Are Getting Made!

We're probably at that point where we're sending more updates than expected, but we're so excited to share the latest. David's slipcases are being made, which gets us that much closer to completing this campaign.
San Diego Comic-Con was AMAZING! We dropped off the make-ready we've shared here at David's booth, so he could display it to all the fans who met him. We also took the opportunity to get a few more signature plates from him, so if you wanted to updgrade your pledge, you'll be able to do that in the Backerkit survey.
And yes, the survey will be going out soon. We had a little BTS hiccup that should be resolved shortly!
During the show, Omar from Near Mint Condition and our very own Kurtis Findlay did a LIVE unboxing of our first two books in this series, THE MARVEL ART OF DAVID MACK and THE MARVEL ART OF ALEX MALEEV. It's worth watching for some David Nakayma visuals, too!

Printing Complete - Onward to Binding!

That's right - the interiors of THE MARVEL ART OF DAVID NAKAYAMA have been printed. Now it's time to bind the book, add the red gilded edges, bind it to the cover, and get it on a ship. This will all take a little bit of time, but we wanted to keep you updated.
We will have advance DISPLAY COPIES of this amazing book, as well as the ones for David Mack and Alex Maleev at San Diego Comic-Con Booth #4518! Please note, this book will NOT be available for sale at the show. We will be fulfilling all rewards to this campaign first. But please stop by so you can flip through the make-ready editions we will have!

NAKAYAMA PORTFOLIO PREVIEW!

The Marvel Portfolios of David Nakayama are currently in production! These images are of the uncut sheets. Each print will be full-bleed and measure 11” x 17” on high quality stock. We will have advance copies of these portfolios as well as the ones for David Mack and Alex Maleev on display at San Diego Comic-Con Booth #4518!
We have added a new portfolio to the mix that you may not be aware of! During the Kickstarter, we offered a portfolio feature character from across the Marvel Universe! We have since added a twelve piece portfolio featuring some of David's hottest X-MEN images, including the connecting covers of Fall of the House of X/Rise of the Powers of X #5! You will have a chance to add this to your pledge when we send out the Backerkit survey.

Jordan Hart's critically acclaimed graphic novel Ripple Effects has been nominated for the biggest awards in comics and now, GLAAD Award-winning publisher Fanbase Press will launch the company’s first-ever Kickstarter campaign to fund an expanded deluxe hardcover edition of the book, featuring all-new contributions from some of the biggest names in comics. Ripple Effects follows the adventures of a superhero whose invincibility is offset by an acute case of type 1 diabetes and a defective pancreas that must be monitored and treated daily. The gripping and inspirational story about living with an invisible illness is inspired by cartoonist Jordan Hart's own lived experience with thrombophilia, an incurable blood-clotting disease.
Ripple Effects was created, written, and colored by Jordan Hart (The Cabinet, Terminarch, Doppelgänger), illustrated by Bruno Chiroleu (El Borde, Mara and Samu), flatted by Shane Kadlecik, lettered by Oceano Ransford (Eisner Award-nominated Rikki, The Sequels, Haphaven), and featuring cover art by Justin C. Harder (CLAUS Studios).

SPECIAL BOOK PREVIEW!

We have received the make-ready copies of The Marvel Art of David Nakayama! A "make-ready" is a sample copy of the book that the printer makes before sending the book to press so that we can see what the finished product will look like and make any last minute adjustments.
Everything sure looks good to us! We will be approving this once we review the interior pages in detail, and sending it to press! (Please note, the red gilded edges will be applied after the printing process is complete)
